The Right often gets it Wrong

White House Warns Rush: Nazi Talk Puts You On “Thin Ice”

When listening to Conservatives their inherent ignorance often confuses me, they seemingly throw labels around with little consideration of facts. It seems they seek to mount an oppositional politic for the sake of it and incite others through overtly emotional rants. The three key points that I wish to make comment on are as follows

Obama verse Hitler

The spectrum of politics RightLeft within each a diverse range of political perspectives, from the “Far or Radical  right” to the” Far or Radical Left

Admittedly, Obama did campaign on a reform agenda however, his politics is purely constituted within the Centre right tradition, which generally supports liberal democracy, capitalism, the market economy, private property rights and the existence of the welfare state in some form. Such a definition generally includes political parties that base their ideology and policies upon Conservatism and economic liberalism. Conservatism is most often used to describe nationalist, religious extremist and reactionary groups as well as fascism and Nazism. Hence, to compare Obama to the Nazi’s is nonsense, while their politic is on the right side of the spectrum his is far from being extreme. These conservatives with their venomous vitriol’s themselves sit closer to the centre than they wish to admit.

Conservatism: it is all about tradition

i.e.

Influences include Counter-Enlightenment divinely sanctioned institution hierarchical authority

The right of  private property

Mostly economic liberals, some look to a modified free market order

The state’s role is to promote competition while maintaining the national interest, community and identity.

Most conservatives strongly support the sovereign nation

patriotically identify with their own nation

Liberalism: Conservatives may be a little more liberal than they realise

i.e.

Broad class of political philosophies that considers individual liberty and equality to be the most important political goals

Emphasizing individual rights and equality of opportunity

political liberalism, which is a set of ideas that express support for

freedom of thought and speech,

Limitations on the power of governments,

the rule of law,

an individual’s right to private property

transparent system of government

liberal democracy, with open and fair elections, where all citizens have equal rights by law.

Classical liberalism emphasizes the importance of individual liberty

Contemporary (or welfare) liberalism tends to emphasize some kind of material equality.

How real are the claims some conservatives make about Obama’s Domestic Policy being a Socialist threat to the American way.

Socialism

Economic system

Split between reformists and the revolutionaries on how a socialist economy should be established

Advocates the creation of an egalitarian society

Socialism refers to any one of various theories of economic organization advocating state, public or common worker ownership and administration of the means of production and distribution of goods, and a society characterized by equal access to resources for all individuals with a more method of compensation.

a degree of social interventionism and economic rationalization

Some advocate complete nationalization of the means of production, distribution, and exchange; others advocate state control of capital within the framework of a market economy.

various forms of market socialism, exist in combining co-operative and state ownership models with the free market exchange and free price system (but not free prices for the means of production).

Social democrats propose selective nationalization of key national industries in mixed economies, with private ownership of property and of profit-making business. Social democrats also promote tax-funded welfare programs and regulation of markets. Many social democrats, particularly in European welfare states, refer to themselves as “socialists”, introducing a degree of ambiguity to the understanding of what the term means

Rush you need to do political sciences 101 before opening your mouth!
