Has the Whale Beached – Where to for Twitter?

Microblogging has become too important for Twitter to rule the field.

The fail whale beached itself the article gives some commentary on a recent Twitter service outage. It is not that this was the first event for the company of its kind, just the most recent. This author goes on to argue that if the company becomes the dominant service out here and retains its current structure somehow it is vulnerable to a 9/11 attack. In the cold light of day, one could argue that the whole internet is open to this kind of attack due to its interactive nature. However, it may be just the opportunity consider the rise of a Twitter monopoly and what that means for you.
