I am Ruppy

Published April 26, 2012 by Michael C Leeson

I know noth’n, I know noth’n, I known noth’n

It was someone else, I trusted them

I am sorry, I am sorry, I am sorry,

They declared war on me

I am sorry I am sorry I am sorry

It is only sour grapes

It was somebody else, I trusted them

It was the NOW the SUN has a different culture

ANZAC Day 2012

Published April 25, 2012 by Michael C Leeson

ANZAC Day

Today the nation stops to commemorate the 97th anniversary of the landing at Gallipoli by the ANZAC (Australian & New Zealand Army Corp) and to remember the sacrifices made by Australians in every military action since.

The Tradition

The Ode

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old;
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning,
We will remember them.

Lest we forget

The fourth stanza of the poem For the fallen

By Laurence Binyon (1869–1943)

It is a day for reflection on the sacrifices WE as a nation have made to defend this nation and the life WE live, sometimes you have to stand up for your values and beliefs.

Revenge

Published April 24, 2012 by Michael C Leeson

If you have not seen Revenge then do yourself a favour, do so especially Nolan Ross the only time I have seen a gay character not played as a stereotype cartoon. He is brilliant or is that my lust talking I just love his vulnerability and dedication to Emily Thorne as her co-conspirator in perpetrating revenge on her wealthy neighbour Victoria Grayson. I fell in love with Nolan the bumbling anti-hero from the first time I saw him yes I have a weak spot for blonds especially cute ones and then he turned his geeky hand to the  task of bringing the Grayson’s down oh a bit or a lot of intrigue.

Do not miss an episode of this show.

Bob Brown – an Honorable Man

Published April 23, 2012 by Michael C Leeson

QandA tonight featured Bob Brown former leader of the Australian Greens  , Brown plans on resigning his Senate seat in June, hence a significant moment in Australian politics. It will be a sad day for Australia there will be one less radical voice in a parliament dominated by the narrow-minded mediocrity of middle class vanilla politics. While I cannot say Bob inspired my interest in politics however, I do share many of his views on a diverse range of issues, which may surprise many. This is my salute from one old radical queen to another cheers Bob, I am not sure who will keep the flame of democracy alive here now, maybe you have inspired enough people to keep on speaking the truth in the face of right wing creep

I am not an Athenian or a Greek, but a citizen of the world.

Miss my horde of followers, it is April I have not posted since January and even this one is forced. I have nothing to say and little to contribute at the moment I am on auto pilot, emotionally drained caught between here and nowhere just saying yes and not much else. OK is the word of the day. passion well that died and hope fell out of the window while taking the corner. What am I doing here,
